Pumpkin patches in Illinois

As fall rolls through Illinois, it brings cooler weather, beautiful landscapes and a packed schedule of fun things to do with your friends and family across the state. Each year, thousands of Illinoisans celebrate the season by venturing to a local farm.

One such agritourism destination is Wagon Wheel Pumpkin Farm in Clinton, Illinois, which features a corn maze, wagon rides and pick-your-own apples, among other festivities.

The Martin family opens its farm the first week of September and it is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Oct. 31. Field trips and group tours are available on weekdays.

Admission is free, and along with the pumpkin patch the farm offers wagon rides, pick your own apples, corn maze, straw mountain, petting zoo, pony rides, concession stand and picnic area.
