FarmWeek 50th anniversary logo

Illinois Farm Bureau recently began a yearlong celebration to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its flagship publication, FarmWeek.

FarmWeek is a membership publication sent to all IFB farmer members around the state each week, except on certain holidays. The first issue of FarmWeek was printed on June 10, 1974. To this day, the mission of FarmWeek remains the same, “to inform, share ideas and bolster the collective voice of IFB members.”

IFB farmer members also gain valuable insight into commodity markets, ag technology, agronomics and weather in each issue. That information, along with other news and membership updates, can also be found online at farmweeknow.com.

“This publication is the result of the efforts of many, both in Farm Bureau itself and in the companies that are members of the Farm Bureau family of services,” former IFB President Harold B. Steele wrote in the first issue of FarmWeek.
