Shawnee Hills Lavender Lemonade

Lavender Simple Syrup:
2 teaspoons culinary lavender buds
1 cup sugar
⅔ cup water
Lemonade:
1 package lemonade-flavored powdered drink mix
2 quarts water

  1. In a saucepan, combine lavender, sugar and ⅔ cup water. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Remove from heat, cover and let steep 20 minutes. Strain buds from syrup and let cool. Makes 1 cup syrup, which can be stored in refrigerator up to two weeks.
  2. To make lemonade, combine 1 cup lavender simple syrup with drink mix and water. Stir well.
