Featured in Partners in Summer 2019, the Springfield business has new owners who recently purchased the business from firefighter and veteran Brian Frieze. Farm Bureau member Amanda Harwood Compton is ready to add a little sawdust to the floors of the workshop as she carries on the Sangamon Reclaimed tradition.

When barns need tearing down, the Sangamon Reclaimed crew steps in to take the parts and breathe new life into the wood by creating heirloom quality furniture and decor to be passed down for generations, much like the barn from which it originated. Their services span residential and commercial sectors.

Offering several American flag pieces, Sangamon Reclaimed continues to pay homage to those who serve our country through the Flags for Heroes program. A portion of the sale of each of its flags goes to support veterans and first responders.

I bought a beautiful 42″ round table from Sangamon Reclaimed. I saw the article in the 2019 Illinois Farm Bureau Partners booklet about Brian Frieze and his passion for old barns and reclaiming their history. I contacted him about the table and not only did he build it but he included the history of the barn the wood came from. This table is one of my favorite pieces in the house!!

I actually bought a rectangular wood flag from Sangamon 5 years. My understanding they give a portion of the proceeds to veterans in need of help.
