Today, just 65 remain, and you can take a closer look at these fascinating structures in A Round Illinois: The Round and Multi-Sided Barns in the Prairie State. Written and photographed by geologist and photographer John T. Hanou, the book delves into the complete history of these barns alongside more than 500 modern and historical photographs, statistical charts and tables.
